Jes earned her BA from the University of Virginia, her MA from the University of Toronto, and her PhD in Information Studies (with a focus on human-computer interaction) from the University of Maryland. She has more than a decade of experience conducting user research across a variety of industries. As our Chief UX Researcher, Jes oversees all research engagements for the EY Intuitive team. She has a passion for deriving design insights from robust qualitative approaches such as contextual inquiry, participatory design and interviews. Her portfolio includes a wide range of projects and clients in the nonprofit, education, healthcare and financial services sectors. In her spare time, you can find her at a farmer’s market or fermenting something (kombucha, bread—you name it) in her kitchen.
