Donald has nearly two decades of experience in writing and content strategy. He has a passion for improving the user experience by delivering the right content to the right people at the right time. In the last few years, he’s focused on the financial services and health care industries. He started his career as a college writing and ESL instructor in the US, South Korea and Taiwan. After that, he worked as an advertising copywriter, later directing content at QualitySmith, a home improvement internet startup. Donald joined HSBC in 2009 as Content Director, later becoming Global Digital Creative Director. He spent three years in London, delivering the bank’s first global digital design language. After moving to Portland, in 2016 he became our studio’s Content Strategy Director and leads planning for digital client content. In his free time he enjoys running, travel, stand-up comedy, listening to chamber music, making cocktails and writing speculative flash fiction.
