Dana earned her BA in Communication Studies from the University of Tennessee, and began her career in print and web design. However, once she tried her hand at coding, she switched gears to focus on web development and has built a decade’s worth of experience in the field since. Her past work includes extranet development for a leading truck-leasing company, overseeing a B2B home theater and automation client’s e-commerce presence and coding for sites in the real estate, electronics and retail industries. She’s passionate about both web accessibility and helping to recruit more women to the development field, as evidenced by her work to launch a pilot program for a local Girls Who Code chapter. Outside of the office you can find her cooking (and eating), making ceramics or renovating her 114-year-old house.
