Nellie
Ortiz
Design Director,
EY Design Studio PHL
Nellie earned her BFA in Communication Design, with concentrations in graphic design and interactive design, from Kutztown University. At EY, she’s worked on the design team that helped execute a company-wide digital initiative at one of the country’s largest media corporations. She’s also partnered with colleges and universities to redesign their .edu experiences and create interactive crowdfunding campaigns, in addition to helping design web apps and other digital experiences for non-profits and small businesses. She has had both student and professional work featured in Graphic Design USA magazine, and her higher education crowdfunding work contributed to a platinum award for best practices from The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She has also returned to Kutztown as a guest speaker for multiple seminars. Nellie is passionate about learning more about how humans interact with each other and with technology, and enjoys simplifying experiences and helping clients to better interact with their customers. In her free time you can find her volunteering for TechGirlz (a non-profit that holds workshops for girls interested in STEM), reading or trying new restaurants in Philly and beyond.
