WHAT'S IN A NAME?

We are a design studio, the term used since 1800 to mean the workspace of a painter or sculptor. Although "studio" usually connotes creativity, it shares the Latin root studium with words like "study" which are associated with intellectual engagement. But the root itself is not about the space or subject; rather it describes the devotion and enthusiasm of the artist or thinker. This zeal, blending imagination and rigor, is the perfect description of how we work, hence - studious.

SETTING THE PACE FOR RETAIL

The Challenge: The Run Genie gait analysis tool by Adidas was designed to help runners find the right shoe, but how would it fit into the retail experience?

Insight: There’s simply no substitute for the expertise of an informed and experienced sales associate.

Our Approach: We designed an app that struck the right balance between human expertise and digital support.
