Sam Mod is a Partner at EY and is co-leading the EY Design Studio with a mission to make it the Best Digital Studio in Canada and the Top COE globally. He currently leads a team of 150+ diverse team of designers, app developers, consultants, and managers. Prior to joining EY via an acquisition of FreshWorks Studio in June 2022, Sam (CEO & Co-Founder) led FreshWorks Studio to the Top Agile Application Development studio in Canada. The team grew from 2 employees in 2016 to 105 by June 2022. Sam & his partner Rohit won the Small Business BC "Best Immigrant Entrepreneur" award in 2018, Douglas Magazine #10toWatch in 2017, and the Chamber of Commerce New Business Award in 2017. He is an immigrant to Canada and moved to Victoria in 2013. He is a holder of an MBA degree from the University of Victoria (Entrepreneurship; 2015) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Information Technology (IT; 2010). Sam speaks passionately on topics relating to diversity, inclusion, technology, entrepreneurship, grit, leadership, and humility.
