Daniela Bermudez Researcher, Argentina,
EY Design Studio LAS

Daniela was sure she was going to study Mathematics, until she discovered the world of Social Sciences and Humanities. When she finished high school, she debated between Philosophy and Sociology, because she was mainly interested in the big questions, those that admit a plurality of answers. She decided on Sociology, and once she graduated, she decided to continue studying for another year, in order to obtain a teaching degree -teaching is a practice that she enjoys very much and from which she says she always comes out enriched. She also worked as an honorary researcher on a project on peasant organizations in Chaco. Some time later, she obtained a scholarship to pursue a doctorate in Social Sciences, and began a journey that would take her through the exciting but at times winding paths of academic life.

She worked for different educational institutions, both in the private and public sectors, went to Australia to treat herself to a year of work and vacation, and then worked as a doctoral fellow at CONICET, in the area of Urban Studies. Each of these experiences contributed to nurture her way of approaching very diverse subjectivities. For her, dedicating time to reconstruct the meanings that people attribute to their daily practices is vital when it comes to generating contributions that can result in concrete and effective actions, regardless of the objective pursued. She joined the EY Design Studio LAS to contribute her knowledge through research.

In her free time, she enjoys reading contemporary narrative, discovering corners of the city by bicycle, listening to radio programs, watching movies and series, and playing sports. No matter the time of the year or the place, she starts her days with mate amargo.
